About the role
Job Summary Works in conjunction with Value Analysis Teams and Supply Chain to establish work plan, goals and objectives necessary to meet the approved system savings targets. Assists in identification, selection and prioritization of system-wide opportunities as they relate to Value Analysis standardization, utilization and implementation. Facilitate Value Analysis Teams (VAT) to most effectively manage system projects. Integrates accepted practice changes and assures that standards of care are achieved when standardization opportunities are implemented. Meets with vendors and departments to evaluate new and existing products to ensure utilization is optimized. Responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of healthcare products, identification of standardization opportunities while upholding the facilities policies, practices and standards of care ultimately resulting in improved clinical and financial outcomes. Provides support to SCM Specialists during VAT trials and product conversions. Provides support to SCM Buyers for backorder and situations requiring time sensitive product substitution. Carries out all directives issued by Manager of Value Analysis on a consistent basis to properly manage the needs of NGHS and affiliates. Position requires demonstrated analytical experience and strong personal computer, project management, leadership, problem solving and team building skills. Should possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Engages with operators within the clinical departments for visual and physical understanding/confirmation of processes and product use to support standardization and Value Analysis initiatives. Minimum Job Qualifications Licensure or other certifications: Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia. Professional organization membership within one (1) month of hire into the role. Assist in setting goals and priorities for the teams and tracking progress. Provide periodic assessments of the overall impact of supply cost reduction efforts, including implemented savings and cost per case trends. Coordinate efforts with the Supply Chain team to optimize operational and capital supply and equipment contractual agreements. Collaborate with Risk Management and Infection Prevention to assure that all safety, regulatory and epidemiological issues are addressed prior to selection. Work in conjunction with the appropriate committees to review and revise policies and procedures relative to product changes. Maintain proactive communication and interact with direct patient care staff and physicians to ensure appropriate feedback is received before product decisions are made. Utilization Review of necessity, quality, effectiveness and efficiency of medical products and procedures where products are used.
