At ONEOK, you'll contribute to delivering energy products and services that power progress while gaining hands-on engineering experience in plant operations at the CANA and Canadian Valley Plant. The Engineer II will lead execution of medium‑capex facility projects within the Natural Gas Gathering & Processing business, managing projects from initiation through closeout. This role requires an experienced Engineer who proactively drives projects to completion, builds strong, trust‑based relationships with Operations and Commercial stakeholders, and communicates clearly and transparently. Projects typically have CAPEX in the $1M-$50M range and involve coordinating cross‑functional teams and third‑party contractors to meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. You will be accountable for developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and milestone plans, and for ensuring milestones and deadlines are consistently met. A core responsibility is establishing and managing all project contracts and purchase orders and ensuring work is executed in strict accordance with those agreements. You must provide regular, candid progress updates, promptly surface issues or delays, and drive effective mitigation plans while managing multiple concurrent projects. The ideal candidate brings proven facilities project and technical experience in the Midstream or Oil & Gas sectors, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to build stakeholder trust and deliver projects on a schedule and within budget. Experience managing construction, contracts, purchase orders, and third‑party vendors are required. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule: in‑office presence Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with remote work Wednesday and Friday as project workload allows. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Direct and/or perform engineering and/or project management activities related to design, procurement, construction, or optimization of company assets including but not limited to: Transmission and/or gathering systems, measurement and regulation facilities, compressor and pump stations and dehydration plants NGL fractionation, natural gas processing and/or hydrocarbon storage facilities Construction plans and implementation Management of third-party contract resources Provide technical and/or engineering assistance on matters including but not limited to: Equipment/system design Pipeline sizing and evaluation Pipeline control Pipeline facility design, construction, operation, and maintenance Policies and procedures Process Safety Perform and review project management activities including but not limited to: Bid proposals and contracts AFE preparation and cost management Management of Change (MOC) Material/equipment specifications and selection Construction plans and support Creating and updating schedules / timelines Preparing project progress and other reports Managing change orders Identify equipment efficiencies, complete hydraulic calculations, determine valve and pipeline sizing and perform gas flow analysis. Research, analyze, prepare and/or approve information including but not limited to: Engineering studies Governmental rules, regulations, codes and standards Pipeline and/or measurement system analyses and recommendations Hydrocarbon processing and/or measurement bid proposals Construction and/or measurement contracts Cost estimates Material specifications/selections Make recommendations for improvements related to capacity, operating costs, and system operation Evaluate proposed projects by conducting load studies Analyze various measurement system designs and make recommendations for improvements related to station capacity and operating costs, to increase accuracy of measurement system and downstream reporting systems Perform economic analysis related to potential new projects, including but n
