Responsible for the technical condition and performance of a production unit, in coordination with the Production Resource, Area Engineering Manager, and Production Superintendent.
Ensures the defined technical availability of the plant to meet production requirements, while continuously improving systems in line with evolving economic, environmental, health, safety, and quality (EHSQ) standards.
Plans, manages, and organizes technical support activities for the plant, including maintenance, technical changes, improvements, and documentation, as assigned by the Area Engineering Manager.
Provides plant-specific technical expertise and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements in maintenance practices and technical documentation.
Identifies and recommends concepts for plant expansions and upgrades, focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and increased operational availability.
Applies sound engineering judgment, creativity, and foresight to initiate and execute technical studies and projects, addressing complex problems with long-term, sustainable solutions.
Prepares essential process documentation for capital projects and engineering studies, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications.
Demonstrates strong business acumen, cost awareness, and accountability, with a solid understanding of accounting principles to support cost-effective engineering decisions.
Requirements
A degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
2-5 years of relevant experience is essential, including direct involvement with capital projects-specifically in equipment design, project engineering, and project management.
Strong collaboration with the Production and Technical Departments is critical for success in this role.
Must possess broad expertise in engineering principles, process technology, planning and organizing, regulatory compliance, and managing cost and schedule aspects of capital investments.
Extensive knowledge of maintenance processes and tools (SAP knowledge preferred), along with a strong aptitude for troubleshooting mechanical equipment, is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills are required, with a particular emphasis on effective verbal and written communication.
