About the role
This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The incumbent will be responsible for To serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and the primary point of contact to the Chief, Current Operations Division, managing the J3's operations security (OPSEC) program of U.S. Transportation Command's (USTRANSCOM) global operations. You may qualify at the GS-GS-13 if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Develop, direct and synchronize related OPSEC into operations, orders, and plans for Command level and subordinate units. Identifies and controls critical information, indicators of friendly force actions applicable to DoD military operations and global logistics movements, and incorporates countermeasures to reduce adversary exploitation of Command level sensitive information and vulnerabilities. Develop OPSEC countermeasures specific to command level operations. Provides intelligence integration via liaison activity ex. J2 information activities branch. Ensures annual OPSEC briefings and trainings to civilian and military employees at the Command level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
