Reporting to the Manager of Data Platforms & Engineering, you will design, automate, and operate scalable, reliable data platforms-primarily Databricks -on Conagra's Azure environment. Your mission is to enable consistent, high‑quality data engineering and data product delivery through CI/CD, Infrastructure‑as‑Code, and strong disaster recovery practices. You will apply Site Reliability Engineering principles to strengthen automation, observability, and resilience across the data platform ecosystem. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Build, operate, and optimize Databricks workspaces, clusters, jobs, storage integrations, and platform configurations. Manage workspace governance, cluster policies, secrets, access controls, and cost guardrails. Automate platform provisioning, onboarding, and environment consistency through Infrastructure‑as‑Code. Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable consistent deployment of notebooks, transformations, libraries, and data products, supporting test‑driven development standards. Standardize data product delivery using reusable pipeline templates and paved‑road deployment frameworks. Enforce guardrails and quality gates to ensure reliable, safe, and compliant data product releases. Participate in on‑call rotations for platform incidents. Execute runbooks, lead postmortems, and drive improvements that enhance platform reliability. Perform scheduled chaos testing and disaster recovery readiness checks. Ingredients Required for Your Success 3+ years of experience in platform engineering, data platform operations, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar roles. 2+ years of hands‑on experience supporting Databricks in a production environment. Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems, data pipelines, and integrations. Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python or Bash. Familiarity with cloud fundamentals (Azure or Google Cloud Platform), networking basics, and identity and access management concepts. Strong experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure‑as‑Code, and platform‑level automation. Experience with operational best practices including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root‑cause analysis. Strong communication skills and ease collaborating with engineering and business‑facing teams. Preferred: 2+ years of experience operating cloud environments (Azure preferred). Preferred: Experience with Terraform, policy‑as‑code, observability tooling, and disaster recovery engineering.
