The Managing Director - NT(G)L Guernsey is a senior leadership role responsible for driving, influencing, and executing business strategy, governance, and external engagement for the assigned business unit and country.
This role will act as the country's Open Markets Officer and Responsible Officer, with accountability for regulatory oversight, board representation, and governance of the legal entity. The individual will partner closely with regional and global leadership to support strategic initiatives, business growth, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Act as Responsible Officer with full accountability for regulatory oversight and governance of the country's business activities
Provide overall oversight of office operations and partner activities across the Guernsey location
Lead and influence execution of business strategy, legal entity initiatives, and governance frameworks
Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulators, government bodies, and industry groups to enhance market intelligence
Support and cultivate C-suite relationships with asset owners, consultants, and other key market participants
Coordinate with internal functions on audit, regulatory change frameworks, governance enhancements, and operational improvements
Co-lead corporate and country-level initiatives including talent strategy, engagement, shared services, and policy implementation
Lead or contribute to regional strategic initiatives aimed at business growth, efficiency, and market responsiveness
Represent the organisation in regional commercial activities and external engagements
Requirements
Significant leadership experience (typically 15+ years) within financial services or a regulated environment
Proven experience operating in a regulated role with strong understanding of governance and compliance requirements
Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with regulators, investors, government entities, and external stakeholders
Strong leadership, business management, and strategic execution capabilities
Experience working within a global, multi-business line organisation
Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills
