Per Diem 1099 Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider (NNP/PA) Position Title: Per Diem Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider (NNP or PA) - Independent Contractor (1099) Location: Bend, Oregon Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide per diem coverage in a Level III NICU as an independent contractor (1099). The provider will deliver comprehensive neonatal care, including delivery attendance, newborn resuscitation, NICU management, stabilization, and transport support for critically ill neonates. Schedule Per diem coverage based on department needs Day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts available 12-hour and 24-hour shifts No formal call requirements Primary Responsibilities Attend high-risk deliveries and provide neonatal resuscitation Perform comprehensive assessments, admissions, and daily management of NICU patients Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with neonatologists and the multidisciplinary team Prescribe medications, respiratory therapies, and other treatments within scope of practice Perform procedures including: Endotracheal intubation Umbilical venous and arterial catheter placement PICC placement and management Arterial line placement Lumbar puncture Chest tube insertion and thoracentesis Urinary catheterization and other neonatal procedures Participate in neonatal transports as needed Communicate effectively with families and provide family-centered care Complete timely and accurate medical documentation and billing
