BASIC REQUIREMENT Education: Must have successfully completed a full course of study in a school of law accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) and have the first professional law degree (LL.B. or J.D.). Law school transcripts must be submitted at the time of application. Bar Membership and Certification: Must currently be a member in good standing of the bar of a state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Your active Bar license must reference Bar number and indicate the status of good standing. Agency Internal Self-Certification Forms are not acceptable for verification. In addition to the BASIC REQUIREMENT, applicants must also meet the following: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of a Senior Attorney Advisor, GS-0905-14. Specialized experience includes: Experience conducting or overseeing complex Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaint investigations involving Federal civil rights laws, regulations, and EEOC directives. Experience analyzing testimonial and documentary evidence, conducting legal research, and applying relevant statutes, regulations, EEOC decisions, and court precedent to develop legally supportable findings, recommendations, or decisions. Experience preparing investigative reports, legal analyses, correspondence, or other written products related to EEO complaint processing or employment law matters. Experience advising management officials, attorneys, EEO staff, or other stakeholders on EEO laws, complaint procedures, or regulatory compliance matters. Experience facilitating dispute resolution efforts or managing sensitive and complex employee relations or EEO matters involving multiple stakeholders.
