Senior Territory Account Manager - Clinical & Academic (South East) Field-based role covering the South East UK, you will ideally be located in the London area. As Senior Territory Account Manager here at Illumina in the UK South East region, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of our sequencing technologies within clinical settings. Working closely with regional hospitals, pathology labs, and diagnostic partners, you will help integrate genomics into routine workflow, transforming patient care through earlier detection, more precise treatment decisions, and improved outcomes. This is a field-based role requiring strong presence in front of customers and a genuine passion for building relationships in the clinical environment. Experience in the UK healthcare or diagnostics sector is essential, ideally with regional hospitals or clinical laboratories as well as academic institutions. Strategic Account Development Build and expand long-term relationships with hospitals, clinical labs, and diagnostic partners across the South East of the UK. Identify opportunities in Oncology, Reproductive Health, infectious disease, and broader diagnostic workflows Sales Execution Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to negotiation and closing Working through KOLs Maintain accurate forecasting, CRM updates, and territory plans Customer Engagement Deliver tailored presentations that articulate clinical value and economic impact Understand customer decision-making processes, budgeting cycles, and adoption barriers Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with Sales Specialists, Field Application Scientists, Marketing, and other teams to ensure successful implementations Translate customer needs into actionable internal strategies Market Expertise Stay informed on NHS procurement processes, tenders, and regulatory frameworks Leverage genomics expertise to guide customers through technical and strategic decisions Experience / Education Degree in Life Sciences (BA/BSc or MSc/PhD preferred) Strong commercial experience in healthcare or diagnostics, ideally within UK hospitals or clinical labs Solid understanding of molecular biology and genomics; NGS experience is highly advantageous Proven ability to manage complex accounts and multiple stakeholders INDUK #LI-REMOTE The estimated base salary range for the Clinical and Academic Senior Account Manager South East GLH role based in United Kingdom is GBP 48,100 - 72,100. The range reflects long‑term growth in the role; therefore, most candidates are hired between the minimum and middle of the range. Placement depends on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. This salary range applies to the primary posting location listed above. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range will be updated accordingly. Compensation ranges for other locations will differ to reflect local market competitiveness and will be shared with candidates if applicable during the recruitment process.
