Provide technical support for environmental performance management at Scotford
Interface with Production, Maintenance, and Projects to manage environmental aspects of operations
Advise on environmental regulations, standards, permits, and Shell requirements
Review procedures and proposed projects to ensure environmental implications are understood and addressed
Support environmental incident response, investigations, and regulatory notifications as required
Member of the Environment/Liaison Incident Command Team with rotating on‑call responsibilities
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Management & Reporting
Support GHG regulatory compliance for Scotford assets in line with provincial, federal, and Shell Group requirements
Prepare and support internal and external GHG reporting, including data collection, validation, and QA/QC
Maintain familiarity with GHG methodologies and supporting documentation as requirements evolve
Provide technical support to stakeholders on GHG reporting and compliance expectations
Regulatory Reporting & Assurance
Support or lead government reporting for assigned focus areas in accordance with licenses and permits
Support ISO 14001 audits and related corrective actions
Maintain accurate records, data systems, and audit trails to support regulatory and internal assurance
Identify and support environmental improvement opportunities across the site
Contribute to improvements in monitoring, reporting efficiency, data quality, and compliance assurance
Participate in internal and external working groups, as required
Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to enable compliant and efficient execution of work
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and regulators
Provide environmental guidance or training to site staff as needed
What you bring
The candidate must have legal authorization to work in the Canada on a full-time basis
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, or related discipline
P.Eng. designation or eligibility, or equivalent technical experience, strongly preferred
3 or more years of experience in environmental or regulatory roles within an industrial or energy setting
Operating site experience is an asset
Working knowledge of environmental regulations and management systems
Strong analytical, data management, and QA/QC skills
Ability to work across multi‑discipline teams and manage competing priorities
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Strong ownership, organization, and commitment to safety and environmental stewardship
