What You Will Do as a Merchandiser: This position exists to develop market driven products that meet or exceed customers' and consumers' expectations. This role is responsible for executing the functions necessary to provide greater speed to market through product development and maintenance of assigned product lines. How You Will Make a Difference: Creates and maintains all product level data for the lifecycle of the garment from product set up to deletion from the product line Maintains flow of product requests for cost and development as specified; maintains product calendars Maintains all relevant data in the appropriate tracking system Effectively communicates all product level information to all internal stakeholders; fosters and maintains relationships and communication flow Gathers and analyzes product line performance, customer, trend, and competitive data to make product line recommendations Gathers and prepares presentation materials for customer and / or internal meetings, to include samples, reports, etc. Executes specific projects as assigned, according to the agreed upon timeline Skills for Success: 1-2 years of related professional experience Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience in apparel manufacturing or merchandising. Strong computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing) Strong communication skills (oral, presentation, written) Knowledge of garment construction, fabric and garment care is preferred Should understand and work well with design concepts, visual displays and color schemes Calendar management skills Accuracy: attention to detail, strong organizational skills with strong sense of urgency Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, respond effectively to multiple demands, and balance / prioritize competing needs to meet objectives and deadlines Seeks direction, responds positively and readily adapts to change in the work environment; changes behavior in response to feedback and learns from experience Familiarity in product lifecycle software preferred but not required
