About the role

Position Overview: The HRBP is a key member of the Human Resources function, supporting the delivery of HR initiatives that drive business results and foster a values-based culture. Reporting into the Senior Director/Director HR Business Partner, the HRBP works closely with business leaders, managers, and HR teams to deliver people solutions that align with enterprise and local objectives. The role is responsible for the operational and tactical delivery of HR programmes, providing sound HR advice across the employee lifecycle, and ensuring consistent application of policies, whilst considering local legal and cultural requirements. The HRBP operates with increasing autonomy within established frameworks and escalates complex or high‑risk matters as appropriate. Reporting Relationships: Works closely with global and regional HR teams, business leaders and management teams, HR Centres of Excellence, Employee Relations, Legal, Compliance and Finance teams, as well as external HR consultants and providers as required, with no direct reports. Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Support the execution of HR strategy and initiatives as cascaded from the enterprise and business segment, ensuring effective delivery at the regional and local levels. Act as a partner to business leaders and managers, providing practical advice and operational support across the employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, development, performance, retention, and offboarding. Partner with leaders to support their effectiveness, providing guidance on people leadership, performance management, and engagement topics. Collaborate with HR teams to ensure consistent application of global HR policies, procedures, and initiatives, adapting for local compliance and cultural relevance. Support organisational change activities, such as restructures and role changes, ensuring effective communication and employee impact management in partnership with senior HRBPs. Promote a culture of inclusion, wellbeing, and high performance by supporting the delivery of relevant initiatives, training, and engagement programmes. Analyse HR metrics and data to identify trends and issues; provide insights and recommendations to HR leadership and business managers. Support leadership development and succession planning activities by coordinating processes, preparing data, and partnering with senior HRBPs and Talent Partners. Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations, working closely with Employee Relations, Legal, and Compliance teams. Support the implementation of global reward and recognition programmes, ensuring alignment with policy and local requirements. Supports the effective management of site level industrial relations, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations, and active involvement in collective agreements and wage negotiation processes with recognised trade unions. Develops and maintains positive relationships with employees, management, and trade unions or representative councils Identifies and devises dispute resolution strategies for the site/location, including providing support for managers in the prevention and resolution of industrial disputes and grievances Act as a culture ambassador by modelling and promoting the organisation's values and expected behaviours. Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Industrial Relations or a related field (Master's degree or professional HR qualification such as SHRM or CIPD preferred). Minimum 7 years' prior relevant experience, including working within a global or matrixed organisation. Experience providing HR advisory support across core HR disciplines, with working knowledge of employment law and HR practices. Demonstrated experience supporting HR initiatives, delivery and execution of HR programmes plus organisational change, under the guidance of senior HR leaders. Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong Collaboration and relationship building experience across HR and business groups. Effective communication and influencing experience within a matrix environment. Location & Travel: This role is based out of our Liverpool offices. Some travel may be required to support business needs and HR initiatives.
