About the role
The Francis Crick Institute is Europe's largest biomedical research institute under one roof. Our world-class scientists and staff collaborate on vital research to help prevent, diagnose and treat illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, infectious diseases and neurodegenerative conditions. The Crick is a place for collaboration, innovation and exploration across many disciplines. A space where the brightest minds can pursue big and bold ideas and discover answers to crucial scientific questions. We support them in a dynamic environment which fosters excellence with state-of-the-art infrastructure, cutting-edge facilities, and a creative and curious culture. We've removed traditional boundaries of departments, divisions and disciplines and instead have an open approach that supports every researcher. This gives us the freedom to take risks and carry out high-quality, pioneering research. Creating a space for discovery without boundaries helps us to turn our science into benefits for human health and the economy. The Francis Crick Institute is looking for an outstanding event professional to join our busy and creative Events team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the experience, enthusiasm and confidence to deliver exceptional events while representing one of the world's leading biomedical research institutes. From major conferences and VIP visits to scientific symposia, lecture series, corporate hospitality and staff celebrations, our events play a vital role in fostering collaboration, sparking new ideas and strengthening the Crick's reputation as a global leader in life sciences. You will also contribute to the development and delivery of selected public engagement events, helping to connect our science with wider audiences. Working across a programme of up to 150 events each year, you will manage a diverse portfolio of in-person and hybrid events, collaborating with stakeholders from academic, commercial, philanthropic and public sectors. This role offers the chance to take ownership of high-profile events from planning through to delivery, combining excellent organisational skills, technical expertise and outstanding communication to create memorable experiences that reflect the excellence of the Crick. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and are passionate about delivering world-class events, we'd love to hear from you.
