Serve as a trusted HR partner for employees and leaders, ensuring consistent, fair, and compliant practices
Champion a positive, engaging culture where employees feel heard, supported, and valued
Address employee relations matters with care, transparency, and a focus on resolution
Lead in a Unionized Environment
Play a key role in labor relations, including grievance handling, contract interpretation, and negotiations support
Partner with leaders to proactively mitigate risk and maintain strong labor-management relationships
Ensure consistent application of the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and coach supervisors on CBA compliance, just cause principles, and progressive discipline
Develop Talent & Build Future Leaders
Support performance management, succession planning, and employee development initiatives
Create and execute a site-specific leadership development strategy
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to attract top talent and build a strong pipeline
Identify skill gaps and implement meaningful development solutions
Driving HR Excellence
Ensure compliance with all employment laws and company policies
Continuously improving HR processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Lead or support key HR initiatives that strengthen the overall organization
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
7+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience within a manufacturing environment, including direct support of unionized workforces strongly preferred
Proven ability to build credibility and trust with both hourly union employees and site leadership
Experience navigating complex employee relations issues with a balanced, compliant, and fair approach in a union setting
Proven ability to influence leaders and drive change
Ability to analyze workforce data and trends to inform decisions and proactively address workforce challenges
Experience with HR systems (Workday preferred)
Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically
