Within this ecosystem, the Asset Services Information Unit manages the entire lifecycle of Corporate Actions data for securities held by CDS. As an Information Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the management, analysis, and reporting of mandatory corporate actions, acting as a high-impact connector within the Canadian capital markets infrastructure. This role reports to: Manager, Corporate Actions Information Job Location: This role is hybrid (2-3 days/week in the office) - Based in Montreal, QC. This role reports to: Manager, Corporate Actions Information Job Location: This role is hybrid (2-3 days/week in the office) - Based in Montreal, QC. Key Accountabilities Data Integrity & Lifecycle Management: Responsible for the complete lifecycle of Mandatory Corporate Action data, which includes the collection, analysis and validation of various data sources, and timely dissemination of critical information. Strategic Partnership: . Liaise directly with Issuers, Legal Counsel, Transfer Agents/Paying Agents, Underwriters, and DTCC, as required, to validate information details, resolve discrepancies, and clarify any legal or tax implications. Operational Optimization: Oversee the rigorous and timely reporting and distribution processing of mandatory corporate action events across internal systems and external platforms. Proactively identify workflow optimization opportunities, implementing best practices and leveraging technology to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy. Non-standard Transactions Navigation: Provides general consulting to support custom (non-standard) entitlements or corporate actions functionality. Determine and apply applicable fees for non-standard mandatory corporate action requests following a thorough evaluation. Communication & Dissemination : Draft and finalize Depository bulletins, for timely release to CDS subscribers while upholding established service level standards for accuracy and dissemination via various channels (MT564/568 SWIFT messages, batch files, etc). Research and respond to all related queries professionally and promptly to ensure customer satisfaction. Proactive Risk Mitigation & Escalation: .Maintain strict adherence to escalation protocols and proactively identify/document risk mitigation strategies. Continuously analyze internal controls and procedural frameworks to suggest improvements that uphold best-in-class operational standards. Must Have(s) Industry Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in financial services, capital markets, or post-trade operations. Education: Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Market Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Canadian Securities Industry, including Equities and Fixed Income. Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace. High-Performance Execution: Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority transactions and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and accounting skills to accurately determine exceptional entitlement payments and finalize corporate action processes. Strategic Advisory: Ability to guide legal counsel and external stakeholders through transactions that deviate from standard functionality.
