About the role
This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as a senior analyst participating in the management and execution of the USTRANSCOM Joint Manpower Program. You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Performs Manpower Management Program implementation across all functional areas of a combatant command. Documents and adjusts manpower requirements in response to unforeseen changes in organization, methods and procedures resulting from budget alterations and limitations imposed by the Department of Defense (DoD). Provides complex management support services in the areas of program analysis, annual multi-year/long-range fiscal planning (e.g. Defense Planning Guidance (DPG), and Planning, Programming Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) cycles). Provides supervisors/managers and senior leadership advice relating to effective and efficient management of manpower resources. Manage requirement through accurate data analysis, tracking and maintenance of manpower documents. Applies manpower initiatives to ensure compliance and meet the mission needs of an organization. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
