Own and scale the company's global workforce privacy strategy and compliance programs across the full employee, contractor, and candidate data lifecycle.
Develop, operationalize and oversee global workforce privacy governance and programs, including privacy notices and policies, impact assessments, records of processing, access requests, record retention, and incident response.
Advise legal teams and business partners on global privacy, data protection, and AI laws and regulations as they relate to workforce data, and translate regulatory requirements into pragmatic, risk-balanced guidance.
Partner closely with Procurement Legal, Employment Legal, People, Talent Acquisition, Security, IT, Product and Engineering to ensure lawful, ethical, and scalable use of workforce data across the employee lifecycle.
Continuously improve templates, playbooks, and processes to scale and support global privacy practices.
Requirements
12+ years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney at a law firm, in-house, or in government
J.D. from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice law where the role is based (or eligible to register as in-house counsel)
Deep expertise in privacy and data protection law, with experience advising on workforce-related privacy strategy and compliance
Proven collaborator who partners effectively with cross‑functional teams to develop and advise on privacy programs
Excellent communicator, able to convey complex concepts clearly to legal, technical, and business stakeholders at all levels
Business‑minded and adaptable, comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment while balancing competing, time‑sensitive priorities
Strong interpersonal skills (sense of humor is a big plus)
