About the role
Responsible for moving all finished pallets, fabricating parts and putting away inventory. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May include, but are not limited to, the following: Able to assemble/glue parts together from a BOM sheet. Able to scan and move unused inventory into warehouse locations. Knowledge and recognition of plastic fittings by name, shape, and dimension. Knowledge of daily performance goals and work to achieve 100% of targeted output. Assuring quality of work through verification of correctness for all types of fabricated fittings and their associated packaging (i.e.: labels, cartons/cases and pallet configuration) Detection, segregation, and isolation of non-conforming quality defects and notifying Supervisor, Manager, and/or QA Department Able to identify various types of quality defects based on appearance, fit, form, and function. Scan in RF scanner finished pallets from staging location into a designated warehouse location. Stretch wrap all the finished pallets. Empty the large trash bins in the Fabrication area. Must be able to safely operate and perform daily maintenance checks on a forklift. Proper organization and cleanliness of assigned work area to the highest standards. Performing the above-mentioned functions with minimum supervision. Stage empty pallets in designated areas for production. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to operate a forklift and reach lift Ability to read and comprehend sufficient English to follow work instructions Basic mathematical skills and counting ability Must be able to pay close attention to detail Must have general deductive reasoning skills to troubleshoot minor issues and knowledge of how and when to escalate Must be able to work without close supervision PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.
