Requirements

  • Strong academic background, preferably in a quantitative field
  • 2+ years of professional experience in trading intraday power in Europe, preferably at a proprietary trading desk
  • Proven track record of P&L ownership
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a healthy risk appetite, competitive nature, and fast decision-making capabilities
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills, preferably in Python
  • Fluency in English

Core Responsibilities Monitor multiple European power markets (CWE, Eastern Europe, UK & Nordics) and the relevant supply and demand factors Be an active part of the trading team and participate in shift rotation (evenings and weekends) to catch market opportunities Execute trades based on quantitative signals and/or discretionary insights Contribute to a shared proprietary trading book Ensure nominations and scheduling are carried out correctly Develop into a domain expert within the relevant markets and products Drive innovation in trading strategies Support training of new joiners on the desk
