The Transactions Assistant - Real Estate, working in collaboration with and in support of the firm's strategic initiatives, assists the paralegals and/or attorneys by maintaining and organizing files, preparing documents, updating, and maintaining databases, preparing closing books, obtaining information for internal and external sources, and performing other administrative tasks.
Location
This position is located in our New York office and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
Organize documents for attorney review.
Research public records using internal and public websites.
Assist with preparing binders, preparing closing books, making copies, entering data, and maintaining files.
Perform database research and data entry.
Assist with corporate closings.
Obtain documents and other information from governmental agencies or public agencies.
Obtain information from accounting, timekeeping and attorneys for audit letter responses.
Assist paralegals and attorneys with mailings and filings.
Other duties.
Requirements
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree.
Certificates
Paralegal certificate preferred.
Minimum Years of Experience
1 year demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environment.
