Responsibilities

  • Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Maintenance
  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair plant electrical, instrumentation, control, and analytical systems

  • Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and incident investigations as required
  • Interface effectively with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and external technical support teams
  • Provide technical support during turnarounds, outages, and plant upsets
  • Continuous Improvement & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using SAP
  • Contribute to plant reliability, asset integrity, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support training or technical assistance at other Canadian or U.S. facilities as needed
  • Required Qualifications
  • Dual Ticket Certification: Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician and
  • Journeyperson Electrician (Red Seal required)
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License with clean driving record
  • Ability and willingness to work on‑call and overtime in a 24/7 operation
  • Preferred Experience & Skills
  • Industrial plant maintenance experience (petrochemical, chemical, oil & gas, power generation, or manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Experience with Siemens DCS/PLC systems or other distributed control systems
  • Strong understanding of PLC logic and industrial automation
  • Proven troubleshooting, fault isolation, and problem‑solving capabilities
  • Proficiency using SAP PM, Microsoft Office, and industrial maintenance systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary maintenance team
  • Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and safety‑focused mindset
  • Working Conditions
  • Continuous process manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to plant operating conditions requiring appropriate PPE
  • Occasional travel to other Canadian or U.S. sites for training or operational support
  • This role is designated as a safety‑sensitive position and requires successful completion of a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test and may be subject to ongoing testing in accordance with company policy and applicable law.

This is a 24/7 operating facility; flexibility to work overtime and participate in a rotating on‑call schedule is required.
