Responsibilities
The School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs in the College of Social Sciences and Humanities seeks an applicant to teach PPUA 6505: Public Budgeting and Financial Management at its Arlington, Virginia (National Capital/Washington, DC area) campus for Spring 2026.
Given our Arlington location, emphasis on federal budgeting processes, congressional appropriations, and federal agency financial management is particularly valuable.
Teaching will be in a traditional classroom on our Arlington, Virginia campus, with classes meeting in the evening to accommodate working professionals.
Requirements
Ph.D. degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Economics, Public Finance, or related disciplines is preferred. Advanced (masters) degree with significant professional experience in governmental budgeting, public financial management , or related fields may be considered.
Experience with federal budgeting processes, congressional appropriations, or federal agency financial management is highly desirable.
College-level teaching experience is preferred.
Professional experience in government budget offices, GAO, CBO, OMB, or similar organizations is a plus.
