The role is focused on hands-on delivery of defined projects, supporting wider programmes of work across technology and business change. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering project outcomes, while managing risks, issues, dependencies and stakeholder expectations.
This role suits someone who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment, can keep control of the basics, and knows how to get things done without unnecessary process.
The practice team is currently located across UK - London, Ireland - Dublin, Bulgaria - Sofia, South Africa - Cape Town and India - Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore. Apex currently operates a 5-day office working policy.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Deliver assigned projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring agreed outcomes are met.
Build and maintain clear project plans, including milestones, dependencies, risks and actions.
Manage day-to-day project delivery, coordinating inputs from technology, operations and business teams.
Track and report on progress, risks and issues in a clear and honest way.
Escalate delivery concerns early, with a focus on solutions rather than surprises.
Work closely with Programme Managers and other Project Managers to manage dependencies across projects.
Facilitate project meetings, workshops and working sessions as required.
Apply appropriate delivery approaches (waterfall, agile or hybrid), using judgement and pragmatism.
Ensure project documentation is proportionate and supports delivery rather than slowing it down.
Support continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and delivery insights.
Experience and skills:
Proven experience delivering projects within technology and/or business change environments.
Good understanding of core project management disciplines (planning, risk, issues, dependencies).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain organised under pressure.
Comfortable working with incomplete information and adapting plans as things change.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A practical, delivery-focused mindset with a willingness to take ownership.
Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a wider delivery team.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
