Position Title: Janitor
Operating Company: Environmental Solutions Group - Marathon Equipment
Location: Vernon, AL
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Department: Maintenance
Position Summary:
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks. The duties include operating a floor sweeper / scrubber throughout the facility, cleaning surfaces with disinfectant and emptying trash cans or recycling bins.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows, and walls, as needed. Maintain cleanliness of outdoor storage and parking areas. Remove debris from sidewalks/aisleways. Replace air filters and maintain HVAC systems. Empty trash and recycling bins. Maintain certification for forklift use or other certifications as required for specialized equipment (coordinate with supervisor and local EHS resource). Performs preventative maintenance checks to all equipment prior to use, including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. Completes maintenance checklists as required and submit maintenance requests to Maintenance Department when necessary. Other duties as assigned within scope.
