The Leader, Accounting will oversee end‑to‑end accounting operations within the Shared Services Center, including AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany accounting. The role is responsible for timely month‑end close, accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and effective team leadership
Responsibilities
Manage end‑to‑end accounting processes: AP, AR, GL, FA, and Intercompany
Lead monthly/quarterly close, journals, reconciliations, and P&L reviews
Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, internal controls, and SOX
Oversee intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and settlements
Support audits and act as key accounting escalation point
Lead, coach, and develop a team; monitor SLAs and KPIs
Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement
Partner with global stakeholders and support transition initiatives
Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
Support finance transformation and migration activities as required
Identify control gaps and drive remediation actions
What You Need to Be Successful
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance - Required
10-15 years of accounting experience; 5+ years in people management
Strong exposure to shared services and global finance operations
Hands‑on experience with SAP ERPs (SAP4 preferred)
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel; exposure to automation tools is a plus
Bonus Points if You Have
Master's degree or higher accounting qualification would be a distinct advantage
Good knowledge and experience working in SAP
Prior experience of working in shared services / BPO industry would be a plus
Excellent MS office suite skills (Excel, PPT, Word)
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Attention to detail, analytical, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively work across functional boundaries to bring tasks to successful conclusion

Be willing to work in an office; this role is eligible to work remotely up to full-time with occasional trips into the Shared Services office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice)
