About the role

Wellington Management offers comprehensive investment management capabilities that span nearly all segments of the global capital markets. Our investment solutions, tailored to the unique return and risk objectives of institutional clients in more than 60 countries, draw on a robust body of proprietary research and a collaborative culture that encourages independent thought and healthy debate. As a private partnership, we believe our ownership structure fosters a long-term view that aligns our perspectives with those of our clients. The Insurance Strategist will play a critical, franchise-protecting role in Wellington's global insurance business. The primary mandate is to build, scale, and institutionalize insurance solutions capability, with particular emphasis on Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), regulatory-aware portfolio construction, and supporting infrastructure across global insurance regimes. The Insurance Strategist serves as the technical backbone of Wellington's insurance solutions platform, responsible for building scalable tools, systems, and processes that support insurance-specific Strategic Asset Allocation and portfolio analysis. The role enables the efficient, repeatable delivery of solutions across regions and regulatory regimes, while acting as a credible technical counterpart to actuaries, CIOs, regulators, and senior investment professionals. In addition, the role contributes to strengthening team infrastructure through the development and support of junior insurance resources.
