Advocacy & Recruitment Specialist Remote Patient Experience JOB SUMMARY The Advocacy and Recruitment Specialist is responsible for establishing credible and mutually beneficial partnerships with rare and chronic disease advocacy groups, identifying patients and caregivers for various story-sharing opportunities, and for contributing content to our online media platform. The Advocacy and Recruitment Specialist must be able to incorporate the unique patient/caregiver experience into the strategies and solutions we provide to our clients. The Advocacy and Recruitment Specialist serves as the first point of contact for patient leads, which requires excellent listening and communication skills, and be able to develop relationships with patients and caregivers which convey compassion while maintaining professional boundaries. Snow's journey is centered around the patient experience and the Advocacy and Recruitment Specialist must be open, compassionate and sensitive to the unique life experiences of patients and caregivers. The Advocacy and Recruitment Specialist must be able to incorporate the unique patient/caregiver experience into the strategies and solutions we provide to our clients. PATIENT PRIVACY : The core of our business is working with patients. It is most likely that you will come in contact with personally identifiable information (PII) and personal health information (PHI) of patients living with rare and chronic illnesses. The Advocacy and Recruitment Specialist will be required to successfully complete and adhere to training courses which may include, but are not limited to: Snow Policies and Procedures Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy and Data Security ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The Advocacy and Recruitment Specialist must be able to perform the following essential duties and functions: General: Adhere to standard processes, demonstrate strong communication skills, and maintain excellent attention to detail Demonstrate a complete understanding of HIPAA privacy guidelines and maintain all contracts, health records and personal information in accordance with these guidelines Develop strong partnerships with your internal team and other departments Maintain collaborative working relationships with other departments related to all recruitment engagement, training and performance evaluation Identify and suggest methods to improve process and efficiency for the team Analyze internal utilization needs to develop new initiatives or modify and improve existing initiatives in partnership with the Recruitment team to meet client objectives Update standard operating procedures on a regular basis to reflect changes in initiatives, policies and procedures, and ensure timely communication of these updates The primary job functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, those listed Lead Identification: Understand the disease category and criteria need associated with each campaign Establish strong relationships with prospective patients to encourage participation in the recruitment process Demonstrate empathy and compassion in all patient/caregiver direct communications Identify and source prospective patient candidates through online channels and social media platforms Build upon established professional relationships to support recruitment and engagement initiatives Develop proficiency in Salesforce to support accurate data collection, patient tracking, and comprehensive reporting Conduct thorough vetting and prescreening of prospective patients Maintain accurate and timely progress tracking within shared documentation systems Initiate and conduct outreach to support and advocacy groups to expand recruitment networks and patient engagement opportunities The Advocacy and Recruitment Specialist may be asked to perform additional duties and responsibilities consistent with those listed above based upon business needs.
