An appropriate tertiary qualification in Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resources or in another related field
3-5 years' experience in a botanical role in the environmental consulting sector or an equivalent role in Government, including undertaking flora and vegetation surveys, taxonomy and report production
Experience in the implementation of flora and vegetation field surveys and monitoring programs
Advanced report writing and computer skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare high quality written material for publication
Experience in GIS e.g. QGIS
Proven ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Proven project management experience in relation to client management and budget control

Due to exciting projects in our pipeline, our Ecology & Biodiversity team is seeking a Senior Botanist to join our Perth office on a permanent Full-Time basis. This opportunity best suits someone with 3-5 years of industry experience with the ability to hit the ground running in a busy environment.
As part of a large and expert team, you will be confident in your technical ability and provide high quality service and advice in your area of expertise to clients and colleagues in both office based and fieldwork activities.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Lead and participate in field surveys to collect floristic data
Interpretation and application of environmental legislation to projects across a variety of different sectors
Prepare technical reports summarising field survey results and their implications for environmental impact assessment and management.
Assisting in preparing tenders and proposals
Integrating your technical work into multidisciplinary assessments and project teams
Undertake analyses, interpretations, conclusions and prepare reports outlining the findings of field surveys
Travel to remote areas to conduct field survey programs
