Flight Software Engineering Intern - Fall 2026

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Entry level experience of C++, C, or other embedded programming languages.
• Experience with working with hardware integrations and embedded computers (Raspberry PIs, arduinos, STM32s).
• Strong understanding of engineering first principles
• Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams
• Interest in mission systems, autonomy, or aerospace systems integration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• GPA of 3.0 or above

As a Flight Software Intern, you will support the design and implementation of mission systems for uncrewed high-speed aircraft. You will work with the A-GRA (OMS/UCI) framework to help develop interoperable systems and messaging architectures. Summer: Around 12 weeks (May - August) Fall: Around 16 weeks (August - December) U.S. EXPORT CONTROL COMPLIANCE STATUS The person hired will have access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls, and therefore, must either be a "U.S. person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
