Product Design Engineer

About the role

The design engineer is the responsible for perform design and estimations of higher difficult degree. Main Responsibilities: Provide support within ENG team for all activities related with design, manufacturing, problem solving and risk management. Assure quality since design point of view through DRBFM methodology and understand cause and effect relationship of risks. Review, optimize and theory confirmation of design, analysis of finits elements. Generate RPP ideas through brainstorming. Support for analysis and risk evaluation of product. Assure the correct decision or direction to proceed. Active contribution in DFMEA development in order to assure customer requirements. Collaborate in problem solving with manufacturing and in team where is needed. Specific Tasks: Create 2D drawings and 3D modeling. Including customer and internal drawings. Tolerance analysis, stack up evaluation and GD&T. Apply design tools to optimize design concepts. (Example: DRBFM, O-Ring calculations, etc.). Create BOM for new releases* Support for customer quote phase through technical information for initial costing Mechanical Engineering. Product Knowledge. Engineering Change Request. 2D & 3D Drawing Reading / Interpretation. Design Verification and Product Validation. Technical Risk Assessment.
