Additional Information

We are seeking an enthusiastic and goal-oriented Sales Executive to join our team at ibis Melbourne Glen Waverley to drive sales growth with a focus on conferences and events, groups and corporate clients. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, you will work closely with the operations team to create strong relationships with clients and create memorable guest experiences. Keys duties include: Manage a portfolio of major accounts with a proactive and reactive approach, with a strong focus on Conference & Events Assist in the formulation of quotations and conference packages covering venue, function, menu, and accommodation costs Provide quotations for enquiries across all segments including Groups, Corporate, Wholesale and Conference & Events ensuring revenue is maximised Manage Event bookings from proposal stage to create BEO and handover to operations, and post-event follow-up to ensure client satisfaction Ensure up-to-date knowledge of rates, packages and operational details of the hotel in order to be able to conduct site inspections with the hotel's client base Use Accor's Client Management System to maintain accurate and up to date details on accounts What you will bring to the role: Minimum 12 months' experience in a proactive sales role, preferably in a hotel or conference and events focused business Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where excellent planning and execution skills are needed Exceptional attention to detail and comfortable communicating with all stakeholders Sound understanding of emerging trends in the industry Understanding of budgeting and forecasting, and ability to prepare reports Able to work independently as well as build strong relationships within the hotel team Confident and articulate, with negotiation and networking skills You must have current full time working rights in Australia .
