About the role
The role involves the management of the end-to-end delivery to clients in the Asset Allocator Operations team. The individual will be required to manage the team, assisting with issues coming out of the operations, supporting the team, monitoring of the performance of the team, management reporting for the area, and ensuring processes are followed and standards are adhered to. Job specification Monitoring of service delivery by the team in terms of SLA and managing clients' expectations regarding deliverables; The management of each individual team member's performance and ensuring that output is always of a high quality; The management and coordination of team deliverables relating to projects and new client take-on; Providing mentorship and motivation to staff and ensuring that appropriate knowledge sharing and skills training are given; Responsibility for resolving issues that have been escalated by the team or clients; Ensure oversight responsibilities and team allocations are managed effectively; Record statistics regarding recon exposures for risk management; Responsibility for managing risk in the team's daily activities, by reviewing processes and ensuring that adequate controls are in place to mitigate risk; Monitor and log Incidents; Assessing opportunities for improved efficiencies and reduced overhead in existing processes, including new technologies and tools; Build and maintain strong working relationships with external clients regarding matters pertaining to dealing activities; Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal operational teams; Ensure that an SLA is in place and adhered to with external and internal clients. Skills Required: B.Com Honours or similar tertiary business study and at least 3 years of experience in Asset Management portfolio administration; Minimum of 4 years of working experience in total A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role; Experience with reconciliation processes and oversight thereof; Sound knowledge and experience of back-office administration processes; Candidate needs to possess very strong communication skills (written & verbal); Confident & enthusiastic.
