Compensation for adjunct instructors is commensurate with educational credentials, professional, experience and instructional background. Saint Joseph's University's Department of Computer Science is looking for the support of highly qualified, capable, and experienced adjunct instructors. Presently, there is a specific need for faculty to teach Introductory Programming (Java and Python), Computer Architecture, Internet Application Development, and Algorithms. Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 or 2 courses each semester on an "as needed" basis. Courses available for adjunct staffing are offered during the day and evening. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Provide support and guidance to students Instruct an assigned course providing syllabi and other instructional materials Use of university learning management systems to deliver instruction Teaching of a specified course Preparation of materials Grade reporting and assessment In addition to meeting all scheduled class sessions, adjunct faculty are expected to offer one hour of office hours per week.
