Earned doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision or Counseling Psychology with a specialization in School Counseling, or a closely related field from a CACREP or an APA accredited program (ABD considered for Assistant Professor with degree completed by date of appointment).
Eligibility to seek Indiana licensure by start date.
Strong potential for excellence in teaching.
Evidence of scholarship appropriate to rank, with a clear research agenda.
Indiana School Counselor license
At least two semesters / 8 months of experience in K-12 school counseling practice.
Understanding and demonstrated capacity for application of the ASCA National Model
At least one semester / 8 months of university teaching or serving as a teaching assistant, preferably at the graduate level.
Committee membership or leadership on groups charged with program coordination, accreditation, or curriculum development.
At least one semester / 4 months of serving as a supervisor, preferably of graduate student counselors or psychologists in training.
Demonstrated ability or strong potential for collaboration with school districts and community partners.
Commitment to the ethical and professional values of school counselors in regard to advocacy for the equitable treatment of all students and establishing inclusive learning environments in which all students can reach their full potential.
