Cloud Engineer

About the role

Hastings Deering is seeking a highly capable Systems Engineer to join our IT Operations team based in Archerfield on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you will support the design, delivery and ongoing optimisation of our infrastructure environment across on-premise and cloud platforms. Working closely with the Cloud Team Lead and broader IT teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring system availability, performance, security and continuous improvement aligned to business needs. As a Systems Engineer you will: Support the availability, performance and ongoing administration of infrastructure systems Proactively identify risks and implement strategies to improve system resilience and reliability Maintain and optimise cloud (Azure, GCP) and on-premise infrastructure including compute, storage and networking Assist with infrastructure projects, contributing technical expertise and solution design Implement and maintain backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes aligned to RPO/RTO Automate processes through scripting and continuous improvement initiatives Provide Level 3 support and assist in mentoring junior team members Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and implement scalable, secure solutions Why Hastings Deering?
