About the role
We are seeking an experienced Wealth team Associate to strengthen our relationship with some of the key clients, execute business plans, as well as support new business development activities. The role would offer an opportunity to work with the clients across the broadest possible set of investment products. The firm will support the successful candidate with training on product knowledge, relationship management skills, processes & systems. Job Purpose/ Responsibilities Understand the competitive landscape, build and deepen strong business partnerships with distributors, and position BlackRock products to win market share Develop and execute business plans to achieve qualitative and quantitative goals Explore sales and promotional activities to achieve sales target Provide and deliver presentations for workshops, seminars and client meetings as appropriate to represent BlackRock Work with BlackRock internal partners and resources (marketing, product specialists, sales desk, etc.) to augment efforts in the field Take ownership of a designated product and serve as the primary point of contact. Regularly update relevant materials and provide the team with valuable sales insights. Maintain ongoing communication with the investment team on a regular basis. Experience in alternative investment sales, insurance company coverage, and ETF capital raising/distribution will be considered a plus.
Requirements
- 4-8 years as an experienced investment professional is preferred
- Bachelor's degree and local securities license is required, MBA/CFA is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, OneNote, etc.)
- Self-motivated individual, with a commitment to excellence
- Strong overall sales acumen and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ambitious work ethic, professional disposition, detail-oriented, good team player, and a passion for investments
- Ability to build relationships and influence people at all levels and functions; can work through difficult problems and in conflict situations
- Flexibility in work schedule and willingness to travel when required
