Responsibilities
- Provide interim Director of Care coverage and clinical leadership support to homes as needed.
- Mentor and support Directors of Care and clinical leaders through onboarding, coaching, and education.
- Guide teams in the application of regulatory requirements, nursing standards, and best practices.
- Monitor clinical quality, infection prevention and control, and regulatory compliance through audits, assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support investigations, corrective action planning, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance resident outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop, implement, and evaluate clinical programs, policies, and performance indicators.
- Support staff education, regulatory readiness, and accreditation activities across assigned homes.
- Stay current with legislative, clinical, and electronic health record developments and contribute to organizational initiatives and industry engagement.
- What You Bring
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership and management experience in Long-Term Care.
- Demonstrated expertise in geriatric care, including nursing, medical, restorative, dietary, activation, and environmental services.
- Advanced wound care knowledge is considered an asset.
- Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance programs.
