What Your Job Will Be Like: We are seeking a highly motivated Information Technology Solutions Architect to join an innovative and detail-oriented team. Our team works on a variety of projects and tasks associated with protecting national security by enhancing the resilience of critical infrastructure against evolving cyber threats. On any given day, you may be called on to: Serve as the primary architect for complex information systems solutions, leveraging expertise across multiple domains including information assurance, hardware, software, databases, networking, security, and telecommunications. Collaborate with internal and external customers to elicit, define, and integrate system requirements into solutions using commercial, open-source, or custom-developed technologies. Drive architectural changes and ensure system interoperability through cross-system collaboration and interface definition. Evaluate, test, and analyze system performance and functionality to meet requirements and acceptance criteria. Communicate progress and technical advances to peers, management, and stakeholders. Incorporate strategic thinking to align solutions with long-term objectives and recommend practical, effective approaches to complex challenges. Ensure software configuration management (utilize Corporate resources/tools, ensure alignment with continuous integration and testing pipeline and deployment). Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite. Salary Range: $117,500 - $235,700 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential. Qualifications We Require: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline, plus five (5) years or more years of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job. Experience in the following: Server administration and networking experience. Linux systems Configuring, managing, and maintaining servers Scripting and automation (Python, BASH) Active DOE Q-level security clearance or equivalent (e.g., DOD Top Secret). The position will require the ability to maintain an SCI clearance, which may require a polygraph test. Qualifications We Desire: Coordination and collaboration with team members to accomplish a difficult task. These tasks may require a creative and novel approach. A desire to learn new skills in support of meeting project milestones and attention to detail to manage competing priorities and quality essential deliverables A history of mentoring and training other members of the workforce. Experience and demonstrated skill in troubleshooting, investigating anomalies and alternative solutions, and recommending solutions on problems. Ability to document work in a clear and thorough manner. Experience serving as an Information Systems Security Officer including writing and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs) and applying appropriate security controls.
