Primary focus will be on processing information and third-party requests including day to day responsibility for subpoenas, demands, information requests, data entry, correspondence and file management.
Interact with issuing parties and other teams to confirm and respond to status inquiries and escalations.
Cross team collaboration is critical, identify potential related matters and issues, business contacts and research tools, etc.
Integrate technical resources and use of system tools to assist team members with maintenance of information regarding, and management of, legal entities.
Use and maintain electronic case management tools and other databases.
Additional responsibilities may include: program and file management, special projects, analyses, research and reports. Build and maintain electronic shared file rooms or other databases.
Experience you'll need to have:
3+ years of experience in paralegal, legal operations, or legal analyst work supporting litigation, small claims matters, third-party requests, or similar legal processes
Experience reviewing legal documents, tracking deadlines, and coordinating responses to claims, subpoenas, or court-related matters
Experience using matter management systems, document repositories, and database tools for legal file management, tracking, and reporting
Experience preparing written correspondence, response letters, and legal support materials with accuracy and attention to detail
Bachelor's degree or higher in Legal Studies, Business, Criminal Justice, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
Experience that would be great to have:
Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal operations credential
Experience supporting litigation and third-party response matters involving consumer or individual accounts
Experience working with in-house counsel and external counsel on small claims, garnishments, subpoenas, powers of attorney, or guardianship matters
Experience in financial services, payments, or other regulated industries

What does a great paralegal do?
This role will be responsible for the intake and response preparation to third-party requests, such as Subpoenas and investigative demands directed at Fiserv related entities. It will include research on merchants, preparing and sending out responses, updating matter management database, recording, processing, monitoring and various requests, filings and orders we receive. This role will work directly with lead in-house and external counsel to professionally administer requests.
