The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center is seeking a full-time Radiology Coordinator which will be responsible for providing clerical support to the hospital's Radiology Department. Shift: Monday - Friday: 8am-4pm Saturday/Sunday: OFF List of duties and responsibilities: (including machines to be operated) Consistently comply with all radiation safety policies and procedures established by The Animal Medical Center and OSHA Operate Quantum X-ray machines and PACS imaging systems Properly setup patients for imaging Monitor patient comfort and cleanliness while in the radiology department Communicate changes in patient behavior or elimination patterns to doctors and technicians Greet clients and transport patients to and from the radiology department Maintain cleanliness and organization of the radiology department, including cages, exam rooms, sinks, walls, closets, cabinets, and equipment Maintain cleanliness of the second-floor corridor, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning tables/computers/walls, and garbage removal Perform accurate recordkeeping and data entry, including client charges, burning CDs, and transferring imaging results into medical records Maintain strong working relationships and communication between Radiology and other hospital departments Upload imaging studies submitted to the Radiology Department by other services Verify appropriate paperwork for ROPUS cases and email completed reports as needed Manage requests for imaging studies sent to owners or referring veterinarians (rDVMs) Reconcile imaging studies across all imaging modalities Serve as the primary contact for CT and MRI scheduling Ensure all completed imaging studies are sent for dictation and reporting Upload Vet's Choice reports into Mach7 and/or Instinct systems List of qualifications desired (including education experience) Qualified applicants should possess: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of work experience, preferably in a similar role Animal handling experience with the ability to safely restrain all species Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful or emergency situations Flexibility to work additional hours when necessary Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills Ability to follow detailed protocols and procedures Ability to complete paperwork neatly, accurately, and efficiently Our comprehensive benefits package includes: Competitive salary Generous Sign-on bonus Generous paid time off Tuition assistance 50% discount on veterinary care 403b matching Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage You may be eligible for The Public Loan Service Forgiveness Program as we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit employer Role : Coordinator for The Radiology Department at AMC Department : Radiology Reports to : LVT Manager of Radiology Status : Full-Time Pay Range $23.95 - $30.75 USD Excellence in veterinary medicine since 1910.
