Job Description Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. Job Description Essential Duties & Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Operations Maintain accounting processes and support financial operations for the hotel, leased commercial space, corporate apartments, and condominium units Prepare and reconcile hotel taxes Reconcile credit card transactions across multiple business entities Prepare daily PMS versus POS reconciliations Review income journals for accuracy and completeness Prepare adjustments and discount reporting packages for senior management Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounting transactions Assist with monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations and financial activities Support budget preparation and forecasting activities Reporting & Auditing Generate weekly and monthly financial reports Perform cashier audits and package accounting audits Prepare hotel, commercial, and HOA cash deposits Prepare payroll reports, including gratuity and tip calculations Respond to disputes and chargebacks in a timely manner Assist with audit preparation and financial documentation Track and submit travel pass reporting Collaboration & Process Improvement Assist with vendor inquiries and reconciliation of vendor statements Respond to financial reporting requests from senior leadership Support special projects and workflow improvement initiatives Assist in developing and implementing procedures that improve efficiency and accuracy within the Finance department Additional Job Information/Anticipated Pay Range Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred Minimum of 2 years of accounting or hospitality finance experience preferred Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
