This role oversees health, dental, vision, voluntary benefits, leave of absence programs, and retirement plans including 401(k) and ESOP. The Senior Manager ensures regulatory compliance, vendor performance, and employee engagement, while contributing to the continuous improvement of total rewards offerings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage benefit programs, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational goals. Administer benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, voluntary benefits, and retirement (401(k), ESOP). Conduct individual benefit meetings with new hires and provide guidance on enrollment and plan options. Oversee new hire enrollment, mid-year changes, and benefit terminations; ensure documentation accuracy and timely processing. Manage leave of absence programs including FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, workers' compensation, and other statutory and company leaves. Reconcile insurance invoices and payments; resolve discrepancies with vendors. Lead annual open enrollment including system setup, communications, and vendor coordination. Administer workers' compensation claims and coordinate with payroll and finance for reporting and invoicing. Administer and maintain retirement plans including 401(k) and ESOP; process changes, rollovers, and ensure compliance. Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and other applicable laws. Maintain benefits data in HRIS (Workday preferred); ensure data integrity and audit readiness. Develop and implement benefits communication strategies to promote employee understanding and engagement. Prepare and analyze benefits-related reports and metrics; provide insights to leadership. Collaborate with payroll, HR, and finance teams to ensure accurate deductions and data flow. Participate in vendor evaluations and contribute to benefits program enhancements. Education and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 8+ years of experience in benefits administration, including retirement plan oversight. Advanced knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , especially Excel, and HRIS systems (Workday or UKG preferred). Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to manage confidential information and lead cross-functional coordination. Experience with vendor management and benefits reconciliation. CEBS, SHRM-CP, or other benefits-related certification preferred.
