As a Computer Operator you will be on the technical frontline - performing batch operations as per service agreements, analyzing first-level issues across systems, and resolving/routing issues as appropriate. Requirements

  • Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 9 to 12 years of experience in Mainframe Operations with strong exposure to scheduling
  • Strong hands-on experience with scheduling tools such as Control-M, CA-7, Tivoli Workload Scheduler
  • Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language) including job setup, debugging, and optimization
  • Solid experience working in z/OS environment (TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JES2/JES3)
  • Expertise in batch processing, job monitoring, and failure handling
  • Strong understanding of job dependencies, workflows, and scheduling calendars
  • Experience with ITIL-based service management (incident, problem, change)
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve production issues efficiently
  • Knowledge of datasets, GDGs, and storage concepts
  • Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
  • Experience in workload automation and scheduling optimization
  • Knowledge of mainframe subsystems such as DB2, IMS, and CICS
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like OMEGAMON or Mainview
  • Understanding of security tools such as RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret
  • Experience with file transfer tools (Connect:Direct, FTP, NDM)
  • Exposure to enterprise environments with SLA-driven delivery models
