Summary of the Role The Business Manager reports to the SGMY Commercial Director and is accountable for leading and driving the commercial agenda in Malaysia. This role is responsible for achieving and exceeding the Malaysia commercial plan across the full portfolio of Hospital Care Solutions. The Business Manager will plan, design, and execute effective sales strategies by working closely with the Cluster Marketing Manager, the commercial team, Regional Medical Care Solutions team and cross ‑ functional stakeholders to deliver sustainable business growth and increase market penetration. Key Functions / Responsibilities 1. Commercial Strategy & Execution Drive commercial strategies in collaboration with distributors/direct team to ensure strong market coverage, effective execution, and sustainable growth. Develop clear commercial plans, translate strategy into execution, and maintain strong ownership of results. Provide strategic input to the Commercial Director on account strategies, customer trends, risks, and opportunities. Own planning and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, rigor, and alignment with commercial plans. Monitor commercial performance, identify gaps, and drive timely corrective actions to achieve or exceed targets. Maintain high standards of execution excellence, accountability, and performance management. 2. Customers Engagement Develop and execute customer ‑ centric account strategies aligned with customer needs and business objectives to build long ‑ term relationships, trust, and credibility. Coach and support the sales team in structured account planning and disciplined execution to maximize customer value and commercial outcomes. Plan and conduct joint sales calls with the sales team, integrating established sales process tools and strategic selling approaches to achieve sales targets. Actively engage key customers to understand evolving needs, influence stakeholder decision ‑ making, and identify growth opportunities. 3. Cross functional collaboration Serve as a hands ‑ on leader who directs work effectively, prioritizes activities, and ensures disciplined execution across the team. Align internal stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, and other functions to deliver strategic and financial objectives. Act as a connector across business units, customers, distributors, and leadership teams to balance priorities and enable insight ‑ driven decision ‑ making.
