Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with laboratories, research spaces, and operational areas to support daily safety needs.
  • Carry out safety inspections at the facility and handle corresponding corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience -or- high school diploma or equivalent experience with a minimum of two years of working experience.
  • Good understanding of laboratory safety, chemical safety, and general safety practices.
  • Ability to learn new material quickly and adapt to changing situations.
  • Capability to make decisions and work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills (Windows software) and general working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and daily responsibilities.
  • Direct industry experience.
  • Environmental experience.
  • Experience running safety committees.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • The typical pay range for this role is:
  • Minimum: $27.07 USD per hour
  • Maximum: $36.63 USD per hour
  • This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for the California-based position. The actual base salary will depend on several factors such as experience, skills, and location.
