Requirements
Minimum two years' experience working in an acute care or outpatient operating room
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Must have charge nurse or equivalent leadership/supervisor experience
Education
Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field required
Must pass orientation and initial competency assessment prior to independent assignment of patients and must complete and pass all annual competencies
Licensure/Certifications
State of California RN license required
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required
ACLS certification required.

Job Description:
Position Summary
Under the leadership of the Department Director and Assistant Director, the Clinical Nurse Supervisor assists with planning, supervising, assessing, and providing nursing care in accordance with the hospital and department policies and procedures. This role includes staying informed and actively participating in productivity, quality outcome measures, patient experience, and employee performance. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor ensures that department staff work within the nursing scope of practice as defined by the California Board of Registered Nursing or other applicable licensing bodies.
This role balances the responsibilities of front-line patient care with collaborative oversight of the unit's overall operations. Responsibilities may include taking a patient assignment as needed and completing other duties as assigned. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor embodies the department and organization's mission to deliver safe, high-quality patient care and to act as a good steward of resources.
