Description of Work The primary purpose of this Processing Assistant position is to provide secretarial support for the Independent Living Rehabilitation Program. This person is supervised by the Area Rehabilitation Supervisor. This position is critical in providing services to consumers in each program in a timely and efficient manner. This position serves as a vital link for communication between the Independent Living Rehabilitation Program Counselors, the Mini-Center Contractual Teachers, and vendors. The secretary must be constantly aware of operational goals of the Independent Living Program in order to assist the Division in coordinating the efforts of the Independent Living Rehabilitation Counselors. This requires maintaining contact by phone, mail, and in person with Medical Providers, vendors, Contractual Teachers and consumers in order to convey information, material, and messages. The secretary must use good judgment, discretion and good secretarial skills in order to assist the Independent Living Rehabilitation Counselors in case of emergency. The secretary in this position must also possess the knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $39,244 - $68,679 Recruitment Range: $39,244 - $49,000 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.
