Position Overview United Health Services (UHS) is seeking an Application Analyst Team Lead to serve as a senior application analyst and subject matter expert supporting one or more clinical or business applications. Primary Work Shift: Day Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $44.77 - $67.15 per hour, depending on experience ----- Job responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and supervision to application staff, fostering empowerment, decision-making, and effective planning to optimize performance and continuously improve quality in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment. Partner with management to develop and maintain departmental plans, standards, procedures, and work instructions aligned with organizational goals and operational effectiveness. Create and sustain a culture of growth and development by supporting career planning, productivity, and individualized training and development plans for team members. Establish strong communication mechanisms with staff and leadership, including regular one-on-one meetings, to promote transparency, trust, teamwork, and professional development. Advocate for and lead progressive change, collaborating across teams, departments, and divisions while transferring knowledge and driving innovation. Support performance management processes, including collaboration with managers on performance appraisals and feedback as needed. Develop and promote best practices for integrated application build; serve as a subject matter expert on workflows, tickets, regulatory impacts, and system design; facilitate application team meetings and coach analysts. Represent the organization externally at industry forums (e.g., HIMSS, UGM, XGM), communicating innovative healthcare and business-aligned system designs. Independently prioritize and manage analyst workloads across multiple applications, collaborating with operational and leadership stakeholders to deliver creative, well-reasoned solutions. Produce business cases and decision documentation for complex initiatives; secure senior stakeholder approval; facilitate patient safety escalations, security resolutions, and project planning. Lead transitions from build to operations or project completion, soliciting peer feedback, scoping initiatives across pillars, tracking metrics, and establishing workgroups to drive performance improvements. Own and facilitate governance processes and meetings, redefining priorities to increase team capacity and balance internal and external demands. Ensure operational excellence and system availability, including high availability, recovery planning, technical documentation, incident trend analysis, root-cause identification, and vendor coordination. Oversee operational and project delivery performance, including service levels, productivity standards, resource planning, project management, issue escalation, customer satisfaction, and implementation of documentation and service improvement tools. Position Qualifications Minimum Required: High School Diploma and four (4) years of healthcare operations (clinical, patient care, administrative or revenue cycle), information technology or health information technology experience. Five (5) years' experience as an Epic Certified Analyst Experienced in all stages of project implementation, including design, development, workflow analysis, build, implementation, optimization, go-live, and post go-live support. Experience of coordinating and build of a minimum of 5
