Roles and Responsibilities Explore and evaluate emerging AI tools, platforms, and agent-based solutions to identify opportunities for the business. Design, build, and integrate AI-powered workflows, services, and applications into enterprise systems. Help shape and develop internal AI platforms, including agent architectures, permissions, and governance guardrails. Guide AI initiatives through structured evaluation and approval processes, ensuring alignment with technical and governance standards. Collaborate with teams across Architecture, Security, DevOps, Legal, Privacy, and the wider business to deliver well-rounded AI solutions. Translate complex or ambiguous business needs into clear technical requirements, success metrics, and deliverables. Monitor performance, adoption, and usage of AI solutions, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for optimisation. Maintain clear documentation, including AI use cases, tool registries, and lifecycle records, ensuring audit-ready standards. Support the development of a centralised AI knowledge base to drive consistency and accelerate adoption across teams. Contribute to continuous improvement of AI governance, development practices, and delivery frameworks. What you bring to the role Experience across software engineering, AI/ML, or related enterprise technology environments. Strong hands-on development skills (e.g., Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js), with experience building APIs, services, and integrations. Practical experience working with Generative AI and LLM-based applications (e.g., agents, embeddings, prompt design, RAG architectures). Familiarity with leading AI platforms and models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, or similar cloud AI services). An understanding of how to design and orchestrate AI-driven workflows or automation solutions within business environments. A structured and analytical mindset, with the ability to turn complex ideas into clear, actionable outputs. Strong documentation and organisational skills, with attention to detail and an ability to create audit-ready artefacts. Awareness of governance, risk, and compliance concepts, particularly in relation to AI, data, and security. Solid understanding of modern development practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD, cloud environments, containerisation). Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
