As a Marketing and Communications Specialist, you are responsible for content generation for the NDOT through digital platforms. You will coordinate digital initiatives, projects, and campaigns and work with stakeholders within the Agency and across the state. Additional responsibilities include working with subject matter experts to produce infographics, documents, and publications. Critical time management and collaboration skills are necessary in this role. Familiarity with state government and/or the transportation industry is not required but would be beneficial. JOB DUTIES Examples of Work: Contribute to the development and upkeep of the NDOT website. Develop strategies for stakeholder engagement through digital platforms. Develop and manage communication plans to support assigned initiatives, projects, and public engagement for multiple areas in the agency. Create and design handouts, marketing materials, and digital content for social media, website, video, writing pieces, and internal communications for assigned projects, initiatives, and campaigns. Assist in oral and written communication, video production, website content, graphic design, publications, and public information efforts for the Communications and Public Policy Division, the Director's Office, and all divisions of the agency. Interact and respond to digital content messages, replies, and comments. Use analytics to judge and drive the reach and success of demand generation for assigned initiatives, projects, and campaigns. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders associated with NDOT's mission and goals. Recommend policies and procedures to leadership to increase the impact and effectiveness of the NDOT's publicinformation functions and activities. Perform other necessary duties to help meet the agency's mission and values. Requirements/Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, advertising, graphic arts, digital media, videography, or related field and at least one year of experience in coordinating, planning, and managing public relations/publicity campaigns, mass media communication activities, and/or public information programs. Required experience may substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.
